| ''What is the difference between an outdoor fan and a regular indoor fan?'' |
| The difference is not in the appearance of the fan, but internally. An outdoor fan's main components are sealed completely to prevent the entry of any moisture. The motor is also sealed completely and the motor housing is sealed as well. The blades on an outdoor rated fan are not typical wooden blades but rather a fiberglass and plastic composite material. Wooden blades will warp, twist and even crack when exposed to outdoor elements or extremely humid climates. |
